Site was updated on Febuary 17 after a recent move to a new hosting service , more details on the Lightweight Landie and the continuing work on the welding of the Series 1

Thanks for entering my site , i have had my own web site since 1996 when the site was hosted on my free space with virgin.net the site was well received and proved very popular although the main area of interest was Stage Rallying which was my main leisure interest at the time , i had around 4 years of competing on a regular basis normally every 3 weeks or so but after a difficult season in 1999 and a disastrous end to my favourite rally the Opposite Lock stages i decided to take a break from Rallying , but i always intended to return

The site expanded with my interests in the outdoors particularly with the hiking and camping of which after the retirement from rallying left me plenty of time to do this almost every other weekend in the summer months , there is nothing quite like camping out in the lake district on a summers evening after a hearty meal and a few beers at a favourite pub

The site currently is expanding in the Landrover area as this is where most of my time is currently spent there's a new Lightweight landie added to my collection William and i are working on this as a basis to entering some RTV,s but which currently needs lots of welding and the Defender 110 Twin Cab which is in daily use by myself which is undergoing upgrades use the Landrover button above to find out more

We recently bought a vacation rental property in Florida and this took up a fair amount of my time building web sites, the promotion, management with the help of my wife and so my site has been on the back burner for a while now but i am now starting work on the Landies and as Blogs seem to be the rage nowadays a new Experimental Blog page has been added to keep all work on the landies and other interests etc up to date

As a result of spending more time in the outdoors my interest in long distance walking was growing which led to me doing the West Highland Way , and with the encouragement of my Mate Dennis i took the first hesitant steps in rock climbing which over the last 2 years has become my time consuming passion as a result i have also discovered other areas of interest just opening to me like adventure racing such as KIMM

Along the way my long standing interest in classic cars and in particular Land rovers has kept into the site this is lately taking up more and more of my time as my son of 15 is now interested in Landrover's and is restoring a 1969 Series 2a with a view to off roading and maybe even some Landie Trials , i have also decided its time that i restored the Landrover i bout some 10 years ago originally for a restoration project

The purchase of a Lightweight land rover some 18 months ago has led to yet another project, the original intention to repair the very corroded chassis by welding was dropped in the summer of 2005 and a shortened range rover chassis was sourced for a reasonable price on ebay , although sound in most places out came the hand grinder to remove ALL surface rust before priming

Other areas such as the web design and software interests have further developed as a result of my work and i have gone form a person not wanting anything to do with computers to someone who uses them on a daily basis and is always looking for ways of using the pc to help me with a number of tasks in work and even in stuff like training logs etc

Further areas that are continuing are the development of physical training information available to all on the internet and hopefully the treatment and prevention of injuries and help from friends in many of these areas , as a climber of above average climber weight i have suffered a number of injuries including elbow and shoulder problems all of which can be treated
