Fuel Duty Petition

I think it is fair to say that we are all feeling the effects of the rising cost of fuel and we all know that the price of crude oil has risen vastly over the last 12 months but lets face it the problem with the price of fuel here in the UK is the Duty (TAX) that the goverment puts on it

Fuel is a Cash cow for this goverment which year on year consistanly increases the duty content to pay for what ever it wants to waste OUR money on but the point is the chancellor has been raking in big increases in the VAT content whilst the price rises just look at the rough examples below to see the huge increase in revenue the VAT has been bringing in

96p VAT Content 16.8 pence
£1.30 VAT Content 22.8 pence

Thats an increase of 35% in VAT Revenue

Now let the goverment tell you they cant afford to drop the fuel duty by a few pence

There just ripping us all off

Everything we buy be it goods or food etc has an element of carriage in it EVERYTHING and this means prices will keep rising unless something is done

Sign the petition below and at least protest peacefully but let them know that we cant continue like this
